Auditing is the near work. The distant vision is an ecosystem of systems that are non-exploitative, non-predatory, and non-extractive — clear, empowering, and able to change the balance of ‘this world wasn’t designed for you.’
Principles
How we work
These are not slogans. They are constraints on the work.
Agency
People keep control over their own decisions. Design should not coerce, trap, or obscure the exit.
Transparency
Expectations, costs, and consequences should be visible before someone has to guess.
Informed choice
Choice is only real when the options, and what they require, are actually understandable.
Non-predatory design
We do not help organizations extract from confusion, urgency, or inaccessible systems.
